1) Respect for copyright

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content generated through Song Wave Story infringes your copyright, you can submit a complaint following the process below.

2) Submitting a DMCA-style takedown notice (copyright complaint)

To help us respond quickly, please email [email protected] with the subject line: Copyright Notice and include:

• Your full name and contact details (email, phone, address)
• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
• A description of the allegedly infringing material (enough detail for us to identify it, such as Project ID, file name, links, screenshots, or timestamps)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable)

We may request additional information if needed to identify the content.

3) What happens next

After receiving a complete complaint, we may:

• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material (where we have access to it), and/or
• Contact the user who created it, if appropriate, and/or
• Take other steps consistent with applicable law and our Terms.

Because Projects are deleted after 14 days, content may no longer be available on our systems by the time a complaint is received. We'll still investigate where possible using any retained references or logs.

4) Counter-notice (if you believe a mistake was made)

If you believe content was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice by emailing [email protected] with the subject line: Copyright Counter-Notice and include:

• Your full name and contact details
• Identification of the material that was removed/disabled and where it appeared
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed/disabled due to mistake or misidentification
• A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand (or, if required, another applicable jurisdiction), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant
• Your physical or electronic signature

5) Repeat infringement and abuse

We may suspend or terminate accounts or access for repeat infringement or for abuse of this copyright process (including false or misleading notices).
